Hoka Pejuta means Singer's Medicine. This specially formulated herbal throat spray was created to ease strain and soothe sore throats especially for singers, public speakers, or those who use their voice often. We first created it for one of Native Botanicals founders, Shilo, who is a Hoka Wicasa (traditional Lakota singer) and has been singing since he was a young boy.
Traditionally, singers drink tea or sometimes chew on a small piece of Bear Root to help keep their voices strong and clear. It is not always easy to find a place to make tea when needed, which is why we crafted this easy-to-carry remedy!
Made with traditional Lakota medicines including:
Mato Pejuta (Bear Root - Angelica and Osha): May strengthen vocal cords, clear the throat and open up airways.
Icahpe Hu (Purple Coneflower Root): Traditionally used for toothaches because of its gentle numbing effects.
Wahpe Hinsma (Mullein Leaf): A natural expectorant that may help clear phlegm and open up air passages and sinuses. May help relieve hoarseness.
Hoka Pejuta is great for:
- Professional Singers
- Pow Wow Groups
- Public Speakers
- Youtubers + Podcasters
- Teachers + Presenters
- Sore throats and cough due to illness
Simply aim the sprayer at the back of your throat and use a few sprays when needed. The Bear Root gives it a pleasant flavor, and it is sweet to taste.
This is a special edition product made in limited batches because of its ingredients. We likely won't be offering it year round, so we recommend stocking up while we do!
Hoka Pejuta comes in a 1oz recyclable glass spray bottle.
